Why the "Reset all settings and erase all contents" option cannot be selected?

Solution

The structure of XCubeNAS contains system configurations and data contents, the three options of “Reset to factory default” allows system administrator to reset the unit to different degree.

Selecting the third option “Reset all settings and erase all contents” will remove all configurations and data contents including folders and files.

The third option “Reset all settings and erase all contents” will not be selectable and grayed out only because system detectes WORM feature related share folders and files remain in the system, this will prohibit the system to execute contents erase due to WORM protection.

To resolve this matter;

1. Look for share folders with any valid WORM retaintion

2. Make sure retaintion period on share folder(s) has expired

3. Delete all files and subfolders in WORM expired share folder(s)

4. Delete WORM expired share folder(s)

5. “Reset all settings and erase all contents” should be available for reset after all WORM related folders has been deleted
