Why can't I see any SATA disks in single controller JBOD when connecting behind a dual controller system?

Solution

In our dual system design, it would be necessary to add the MUX board with SATA disk for dual controller system. Even though the JBOD unit is in single controller mode, but it would still be necessary to add mux board if this is the dual controller system. If there isn’t adding the MUX board, the dual controller system won’t be able to recognize those disks.
