Why am I getting higher IOPS number than the specified value after enabling QoS?

Problem/Symptom

Why am I getting higher IOPS number than the specified value after enabling QoS?

Solution

This is the normal phenomenon. Because XCubeSAN doesn’t know the real traffic loading of I/O which comes from the client side, and when the IOPS is higher than the maximum IOPS which limited by QoS. XCubeSAN will trigger QoS to restrict the I/O processing and reduce it to the QoS maximum IOPS limit.

Apply to

All XCubeSAN series model
