Why the event shows the expansion unit hardware version mismatch issue?

Solution

In our expansion unit design, there are two expansion unit version(v1/v2). If you receive below warning event log after you connect the expansion unit. That’s mean the both expansion is with different version, please contact with QSAN support for assistance. (support@qsan.com)

"The hardware versions of the two controllers in the expansion unit xxx are different. The controller 1 is xxx and the controller 2 is xxx. Please replace the controller with the same hardware version for long-term usage."

And with mix(v1&v2) controller, you will also observe the JBOD hardware status shows “Unknown”.
